Klima® Series uPVC joinery is based on Kömmerling’s premium European range. uPVC is a natural insulator, known for its low conductivity, effectively reducing heat and cold transfer to offer superior energy efficiency.
Klima® incorporates a five-chamber system in its design to ensure high heat retention, while other uPVC joinery options in New Zealand typically feature fewer chambers.

What are the benefits?
Energy Efficiency
Klima® Series is designed to maximise energy efficiency by harnessing the low conductivity and natural insulating properties of uPVC. This material is highly effective at reducing the transfer of both hot and cold temperatures, ensuring homes stay comfortably warm in winter and cool in summer.
When combined with high-performance double glazing, Klima® achieves a six-star rating under the Window Energy Efficiency Rating System (WEERS) and helps buildings reach a top-tier six-star rating in the Homestar scheme. It also aligns with Passive House principles, which prioritise the use of well-insulated, high-performance windows and doors for superior energy efficiency.
NZBC H1 Compliance
The updated H1 requirements now mandate high-performance insulated glass units within thermally enhanced frames, with an R-Value of 0.46 for windows and doors in buildings across the North Island.
With Klima® uPVC windows and doors paired with uPVC double glazing like The AGP System® glass, you'll be well ahead of these new standards.
Noise Reduction
The dense nature of uPVC joinery, combined with its superior sealing properties, effectively blocks out external noise, creating a quieter, more peaceful indoor environment.
Durable
Tested under extreme conditions, Klima® uPVC doors and windows demonstrated their resilience after four years of intense exposure to the harsh Australian desert sun, equivalent to 22 years of sun in New Zealand. Thanks to the optimised, high-quality uPVC, Klima® showed no signs of cracking, blistering, or discolouring.
Designed specifically for New Zealand’s harsh sunlight and high UV levels, Klima® is engineered to withstand the toughest local conditions. This durability ensures that Klima® will continue to perform at its best, year after year, without degrading or losing its appearance.
Sustainable Choice
With a long lifespan and excellent insulation properties, Klima® uPVC joinery reduces the need for frequent replacements and lowers energy consumption. Additionally, uPVC can be made from recycled materials, making it an eco-friendly choice for energy-efficient, low-maintenance homes.

AluClip is a powder-coated aluminium cladding that clips onto the outer frame of uPVC joinery, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of uPVC in a colour that complements the design of the build. While the interior colour remains white.
Klima® Hardware.
Powdercoated Urbo hardware can be used with Klima® windows and doors to enhance both their appearance and functionality, enabling operation of the European multi-point locking systems. The hardware is powder-coated in Klima® white as standard.
Klima® uPVC joinery also offers tilt-and-turn hardware. By turning the lever handle to different positions, the window can open-in from the side or top for improved ventilation. The inward-opening, easy-clean system is ideal for second-storey windows.
