Half Moon Bay, Auckland
This project perfectly demonstrates how high-quality windows and doors can enhance indoor-outdoor flow, making a home more functional and ideal for outdoor entertainment.
Built by the talented team at Faulkner Construction, this water-facing extension blends so seamlessly with the existing structures that it appears to have always been there. Making it a worthy winner of the Gold Award in the 2024 Master Builder’s House of the Year Competition.
While it’s well known that aluminium doors and windows can transform a home’s flow, this project—located on a north-facing waterfront property with palm trees, a pool, and a new cabana featuring a barbecue and outdoor fireplace—required an optimal indoor-outdoor experience. The selected aluminium doors and windows open the home to breathtaking views of Waitemata Harbour and Rangitoto Island, integrating natural surroundings with outdoor entertainment areas for an unparalleled living experience.
The selected windows and doors from our Residential and Metro offer clean, flat lines and smooth surfaces, and ideal for residential settings. The joinery frames stunning views with minimal obstruction, while the sliding and bifolding doors from the Metro Series feature minimalist flush sills for a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
This project highlights Windowmakers' capabilities. Featuring sliders, skylights, clerestory windows, bifolds, and custom aluminium windows with curved and angular shapes, it showcases our dynamic range and adaptability. We provide bespoke windows and doors in various sizes and configurations tailored to your home's specifications and desired style. In this case, our solutions ensure that the home feels bright and breezy throughout.
