Tramcar Bay, Whangateau
One of the most rewarding things about the work we do is the relationships we build along the way.
Alongside The House Company, we have been creating stunning homes across Auckland and Northland, and this latest one in Tramcar Bay, is no different.
A deserving winner in the Registered Master Builders House of the Year 2023 competition, this house was honored as the Regional Category Winner. It also received a Gold Award and claimed the National Category Award in the New Home $1-$1.5 Million category. Additionally, it secured a spot among the Top 100 homes of 2023 across Aotearoa.
This iconic waterfront site was home to one of the last Auckland Tramcars with exceptional oceanwide views that expand across Ti Point and Omaha, completely embedded within its surroundings of the natural environment. The recaptualisation of this property required our high quality windows and doors, custom-designed to encompass the stunning views and seamlessly merging the outdoor surroundings within the indoor space, creating a tranquil destination.
The expansive sliding doors grant unobstructed entry to the enclosed entertainment area, perfect for summer gatherings. Whilst providing an optimal vantage point, allowing inhibitors to fully embrace the awe-inspiring views. The louvered windows ensure maximised privacy for ultimate outdoor entertaining.
The home’s brief included clean lines and minimal clutter, making our Residential and Metro Series suites the ideal fit; with strong, generously sized profiles and a stylish finish. ThermalHEART® aluminium frames were applied to the oversized windows, keeping the home comfortable all year round, retaining warmth in winter and blocking excessive heat in summer. The dark cedar cladding and modern aesthetic were perfectly complemented by the matt black finish of the aluminium doors and windows.
