Completed by JRA Construction, this project transformed a 1980s dwelling into a light-filled, open-plan space, winning the Silver Award in the Master Builder’s 2024 House of the Year competition. Our high-quality windows and doors provided the perfect finishing touch.
A defining characteristic of this residential home is its earthy tones, enhanced by the installed vertical timber cladding. The choice of Residential Series aluminium doors and windows complements both the stylish and functional aspects of the design, aligning perfectly with the home’s modern yet natural aesthetic. Finished in Matt Flax Pod powdercoat, one of the most popular colour choices, the aluminium doors and windows maintain a consistent finish that harmonizes seamlessly with the rest of the home.
As you approach the home, a bold entrance features our Plasma Entrance door, known for their sleek, flat aluminium finish and minimalistic design, making a striking first impression. The configuration of the front door includes glass panels either side to add a modern touch and brings natural light into the downstairs area.
The double-glazed windows and doors in this home maximize energy efficiency and comfort. Featuring Solux-E® Low-E, they reduce heat loss, minimizing condensation and mould growth for a warmer, drier living environment. Additionally, the glass reduces heat gain during summer to ensure consistent comfort throughout the year.
The deck is a key focal point of the home’s extension, designed for entertaining and enjoying views of the Waitakere Ranges.
